GeoAfrica2027 -

The South African chapter of the International Geosynthetic Society is proud to host the 5th African Regional Conference on Geosynthetics (GeoAfrica2027), returning again to South African soil since the successful inaugural event in 2009. We invite you to experience the warmth of African hospitality in the heart of Gauteng at the Misty Hills Hotel, Conference Centre & Spa outside Johannesburg from 1 – 5 March 2027.

The conference will provide all participants, but particularly Africans, with a global platform for affordable, meaningful, academic and professional knowledge and skills transfer, together with social and cultural experiences. It will expose Africa to safer and more cost-effective solutions to environmental preservation. GeoAfrica2027 will continue the proud legacy of covering diverse disciplines of geosynthetics from fundamentals to advanced applications, from the reinforcement of soils to the containment of waste, all with a strong emphasis on sustainability.

We look forward to welcoming all our sponsors, exhibitors, presenters and attendees to this conference which we anticipate will provide exciting opportunities for connection and collaborations regionally and internationally.
