Located on South Street in Murdoch, the campus is a short train ride from Perth’s CBD and 8km from Fremantle.

The closest hotel to the University is the Courtyard Marriott – which is 1km from the conference building, and 200 meters from Murdoch Train and Bus Station. Busses to Freo (30 mins journey) and trains to Perth (15 minute journey) leave regularly from this station. The conference venue is also well serviced by busses which depart from Discovery Way, just outside Boola Katijin (the venue) toward either Freo (998 – 30 mins) or Perth (via Murdoch train station)

While there are plenty of beautiful and convenient accommodation options throughout Perth, locals will tell you that Fremantle offers a wonderful mix of nightlife, architecture, shopping, beaches and restaurants. In Fremantle, South Beach and Bathers Beach are great places to watch the sunset over the ocean. Beaches north of the river (such as Cottesloe, Scarborough) are also lovely but travel to and from Murdoch from them will generally involve 2 busses, or a bus/train combo.

If staying in Perth city, understand that most of the nightlife, restaurants and vibes are located slightly out of the CBD – Northbridge, Leederville, Mount Lawley, Subiaco, Victoria Park and South Perth.
