Conference Details : This conference brings together scholars from across the social sciences to interrogate how monetary forms, institutions and imaginaries are implicated (or not) in various forms of violence including rotting, coercion, harm, and conflict. Relations between money and violence span war, debt/credit, everyday life, illicit and shadow economies, colonial and postcolonialisms, and the monetization of risk, punishment, and survival.
