IDF World Dairy Summit (WDS) in 2026

Welcome to Aotearoa New Zealand, where the global dairy community will come together to shape the future.

Nau mai, haere mai Welcome to Aotearoa New Zealand, where the global dairy community will come together to shape the future. In November this year, Aotearoa New Zealand will proudly host the IDF World Dairy Summit, one of the most influential gatherings on the global dairy calendar. Bringing together industry leaders, farmers, scientists, innovators, policymakers and business experts from across the world, WDS2026 will be a unique opportunity to connect, collaborate and explore the future of dairy in a rapidly changing world.

This will be the third time New Zealand has hosted the Summit, following successful events in 2001 and 2010. Building on that legacy, we are creating an experience that is insightful, thought-provoking and distinctly Kiwi, combining world-class content with authentic New Zealand hospitality and culture.

Under our theme, Healthy People, Healthy Planet, Healthy Economies, delegates will explore dairy's role in some of the most important conversations of our time. From nutrition and health to sustainability, innovation, trade and economic resilience, WDS2026 will showcase the ideas, research and partnerships that are shaping the future of our industry.

Expect an outstanding programme featuring globally recognised keynote speakers, expert panels and engaging discussions that challenge perspectives, spark new thinking and inspire action. Together, we will examine both the opportunities and challenges facing dairy, while exploring the important contribution of the International Dairy Federation in advancing the sector worldwide.

Beyond the conference stage, delegates will have the opportunity to experience New Zealand's dairy story firsthand. Technical tours will provide exclusive access to innovative farming enterprises, advanced manufacturing facilities and leading research centres, offering a closer look at the expertise, technology and ingenuity that have helped make New Zealand a respected global dairy leader.
