The Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management, popularly known as GITAM, was founded in 1980 by an inspired group of eminent intellectuals and industrialists of Andhra Pradesh led by Dr. M. V. V. S. Murthi, former Member of Parliament and popular philanthropist. The vision of Mahatma Gandhi was to see India as a socially and economically resurgent country, and he looked upon education as an important means to achieve this goal. At GITAM, we are constantly working teaching, research, and consultancy by creating an environment in which the faculty and students share a passion for creating, sharing, and applying knowledge to continuously improve the quality of education.

The Department of Electrical, Electronics & Communication Engineering (EECE), GITAM School of Core Engineering (GSCE), Bengaluru, is organizing GITAM IC-ELECTRONS 2027, a flagship international conference on "Converging Electrical, Electronic, Communication & Nanoscale Technologies for a Sustainable Future." The conference serves as the primary point of contact for authors, delegates, sponsors, and the international advisory network, and supports the Call for Papers, registration, and program dissemination. The department is supported by an academic strength of approximately 800+ students and 30+ Qualified Faculty with PhDs from premier Institutions members, along with the MURTI Research Center and allied research groups driving the department's research agenda.
