12th ICBMC

The 12th International Conference on Building Materials and Construction brings together researchers, practitioners, and industry leaders to address the urgent challenge of delivering sustainable and resilient buildings and infrastructure. As construction demand grows alongside decarbonisation targets, the sector must rethink both the materials it uses and the ways projects are designed, delivered, and maintained. ​A central focus of the conference is innovation in low-carbon building materials, including reduced-clinker binders, supplementary cementitious materials, and alternative cement systems. Equally important is the advancement of circular construction through the reuse and recycling of construction and industrial waste, helping to conserve resources and reduce environmental impact while ensuring performance and durability. ​The conference also highlights the need for climate-resilient materials and structures capable of withstanding extreme conditions and long-term deterioration. In parallel, emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and data-driven methods are transforming materials design, performance prediction, and lifecycle management. Through keynote lectures and technical sessions, the conference provides a platform to share research, foster collaboration, and accelerate the development of low-carbon, circular, and resilient solutions for the built environment.

All full paper submissions will be blind reviewed on the basis of technical quality, relevance to conference topics of interest, originality, significance, and presentation. Accepted papers will be published into Conference Proceedings. Lecture Notes in Civil Engineering (ISSN: 2366-2557) as a proceedings book volume. Springer will conduct quality checks on the accepted papers and only papers that pass these checks will be published. The book series will be indexed by Ei Compendex, Scopus. All books published in the series are submitted for consideration in Web of Science.
